My HPC kit came with a Crystallite HS3580 labelled motor. Does anyone know how many volts and amps this motor can take sustainably? It's currently running at 58 volts and 45 amps.

There might be info on that in one of these threads

but I havent' read them, so don't know.

If that motor is in the http://ebikes.ca/simulator vvALL MOTORSvv dropdown list, you could try it out with various setups and see if it takes the levels you want to put it thru.

Less than 3000 watts continuously has been my experience with the 35mm crystalyte motors. If you do much stop and go or slower speeds than 20mph, then I would say you are already at the level of melting one. Get some FF, vent the case, and get a temp sensor in there and it will significantly increase your threshold and ability to run more power without ruining it. The newer cycle analysts have the ability to scale back your power when certain temp thresholds are exceeded. I strongly advise it if you intend to hotrod.

It's already well vented, and I'm running it at 2300w max.
