I mostly see hose clamps used (and stuff), but what about this for a hub in a front susp fork?

I'm loving 2wd, esp on these fatbike tires. The hubs are just 1kw overamped so they don't even seem that heavy. And I'm not that heavy so performance is pretty nice.

It came in and the dimensions should be perfect for mongoose fatbike and the 1kw ebay hub I built in the wheel. It feels GREAT for a super reasonable price and should really help the ride and handling.
To the friggin point tho, Using these clamps should make the torque-arrest device more like a torque plate than a torque arm I'm thinking. Not sure if I'll use all steel or transist to aluminum for the upper section, but I want the arm/plate to go as high on the fork lowers as possble. Then it will be easy to mount the front rack as well.
I'm just excited and wondered if anyone had noticed or used these clamps for this application. They're cheap from china and the right size for common forks. They appear to be fairly thin, but steel. I'm thinking if they're too weak we could double them up on each fork leg?

Ps I also just found these 12-85 volt lights. . . . Just popped up in recommended from GB. I'd been looking for some that aren't an arm/leg.
