BBSHD and Samsung 29E cells

Hi All,

Looking at getting an ebike from China - many seem to use samsung 29E cells.

Does anyone know what the continuous discharge is on these cells? I have read so much conflicting info.

Am looking to use for a BBSHD so 30a peak current What do you think of 4P or 5P of this cell?

Personally i'd want more than 4p or 5p. At 4p on full load your pulling 7.5amps per cells. Get that upto 8p and its only 3.75amps per cell so about 1.3C.

Ran my BBS02 25A with a Samsung 29E 13S4P pack for a couple of years, before the pack showed dramatic signs of voltage sag. Now running a Samsung 30Q 13S4P pack and the difference is like night and day. IMHO the 30Q's are far better than the 29E's!

If you insist on a 29E pack, then definitely go for 5P or higher. 30Q's should be ok with 4P though.

Good to know - They must be cheap cause they seems common in Chinese batteries from alibaba sellers.
