Charger for Iococca EVG

Someone asked me for some help, so I thought I’d check here to see if I can get him some. It’s not my bike, and I don’t have it in my possession.

He has an Ioccoca EVG with 24 volt SLA, I think. It’s not charging, and he thinks the charger is bad. I don’t recall specifically why he thinks that or how sure he is, but he asked me if I knew where he could get a replacement. He said it comes with an onboard charger, but he’d be happy to change to a separate charger if he had to. I don’t know anything about the bikes, so I don’t know how hard any modifications would be.

I’d guess that convenience and reliability is more important than price, within reason. I know few of us deal with SLA anymore, but can anyone suggest a charger for his application and a reputable source?

Oh, unless someone has a source for EVG original parts!

Long ago I had a failed EVG charger and a friend found one diode had failed.

It was an easy to replace part.

Just had to locate which one

Are those about the same thing as a Razor Electric Scooter 24v charger? If so you can buy them brand new and don't cost much.

Replace with lithium ion. He will love you for it.
