Tektro Brakes with Sensor cable question

Hello All :)

I have an Adaptto Max-E controller and Tektro (with sensor control cable). I have regen braking with is activated (turned on) via the brake lever which has a built in sensor control cable. This obviously connects to the controller for the regen function. I have a DC DC converter, I have a front 12v light, i also have a rear 12v light (with brake light function). So.....the question for you very clever people. Currently the sensor control cable from the brake levers are being used for regen braking, can I ALSO use the sensor control cable to turn on/off the brake light?

Thanks everyone :)

Thank you buddy. Really good post there....lots of reading. But my issue is that I am using regen braking from the sensor brake cable. So basically can I splice this cable for brake light and for regen braking?

Yes.

Really as simple as that....Someone said I may need to use relays?

No, you misunderstand. You split the brake signal and use the signal to trigger another circuit (which does use an optocoupler driven relay) as detailed in the linked to thread. Probably best get reading.....

Thank you again.... I'm gonna read it over again in more detail now
