Sabvoton 60150 or 72150 constant current?

Post by rg12 » Dec 30, 2017 5:24 pm

Hi Guys,

Do you know what is the constant current for the Sabvoton rated at 150A?
All I know is the the 150A is the peak and not the constant.

Here's the documentation supplied from Sabvoton! :D

Lazy answer: 50-150A.

It doesn't really say...they act as if it can take 150A constant and I don't think it will...

I think it can take it, but of course it’ll kick it down to 30A or below if you hit your DC current limit temp/voltage flags. Honestly, these Sabvoton controllers are pretty cryptic to understand. All I know is that I’ve been able to get 120A continuous on my 96150, and it’s set to 120A.

Alec man are you at the race tracks or something why would you need 150 battery amps, these controllers are tuff man so long as they have some form of cooling i dont see why they couldn't pull 150 battery amps i have a 36 fet 200 amp controller and have run it at as such but was way to fast for me, for general commuting 70-80 amps is more then enough

here you go..

if you're not sure, send them an email, they are pretty good with customer support.

I never used this controller but I've read people using it with 150amps with vids on youtube.
There are some unlocked versions of the 72150 to be used with 200amps but no warranty.

I hope it helps.
