Hi,
I tried to search about this issue , but surpringsly found nothing!
It's simple, my >500W eBike build lacks of an expensive battery.
As atm I cannot afford one, can I ride eBike with both motor and
sensor unplugged?
The Motor is BLDC gearless , I know this is possible but, I must
ensure this is healthy for motor itself , cause cannot afford another one neither.

The question is , it is motor-healthy to use eBike , as normal/regular biciclye in
long term usage? thanks

Well eee291,
my location is a province at northern Spain. I find that helpful ,
so I definetely accept that battery that you have. I would handle personal and
courier costs.

It won't hurt the motor at all. It will add weight and drag, so it will make pedaling a bit more difficult, but not that much.
Just make sure the wires don't make contact to each other. Use tape. If the wires short, it will be like having brakes on.

Biking with the motor unplugged will not hurt the motor at all. It will add some resistance to your regular commute but that's the only downside.
As the motor spins, it will generate a voltage on the windings and the contacts (plug), but this is not at all harmful so long as you simply make sure they wires don't make contact. If they do, you will be short circuiting one of your windings, and motor would seize. However, even this 'seizing' wouldn't necessarily be harmful to you motor, but it will make peddling a REAL pain.
In short, don't worry about riding with your motor unplugged.
