Sabvoton controllers, any issues with no waterproofing?

I was looking at getting an SVMC Sabvoton 72200, but I was informed that you can only get waterproofing on mass orders.

So, doubting anyone has done that, I was wondering if anyone with an SVMC controller has had any issues with water/dirt ingress?
