I have a 2012-2013 Mac 12 T Geared Rear Hub Motor.

Running it with a 12s and 14s battery pack has been fun, except I have been wanting to go up hills that are 7% up to 15% and have not done that with such a low torque/high speed hub motor.
I have waited for way over a year now for a RC Motor Mid-Drive system at an affordable price to become available, and still none at this time.

Its time to start experimenting with running the Mac 12 T on lower voltages in order to save its life when going up steep hills/mountains.

I have the Infineon Clone Controller that was sold to work with the Mac at the time, it is the 3077 ST-4 , up to 48 volts ( 14s max ) and up to 40 amps.

I have 2 5s battery packs on the way soon for running at 10s / 36 volts,
However I would like to try to run the Mac on 8s when going up steep hills.

I have a Cycle Analyst 2.3 so I can make a voltage adjustment, and also do what I do now for battery monitoring ( just look at the C.A. during rides to view and change pack when it shows I am close to 3.65 - 3.75 volts per cell ) So monitoring a pack of any size is something I do on every ride anyway.

Will the 3077 ST-4 controller work on / with a 8s pack ?
