Hi. I just completed my 3kW Cyclone ebike coming from a 500W 36V rear hub. I am wondering if it is better to have the Cyclone on 36V 32aH so a lower voltage and higher capacity or a higher voltage and lower capacity 72V 16aH. These are scooter battery packs so they suffer from voltage sag and amp draw-capacity reduction curve. I think 72V is better but I am not an expert. What do you think?

72v is much better for reliability of your drivetrain. It will produce half the torque on the chain and twice the rpm.

One important thing is you will need to offset this buy using a small cog up front and a big one on the rear. Result will be the same speed and wheel torque while using up less chains. It will make it more difficult to pedal along though.
