Happy New Year everyone!
This may be a silly question, but I cannot find the answer elsewhere:
I am currently using a Magic Pie 4, and I am completely in awe of how well it works. My daily commute is pure joy, even now in the winter time with 4 feet of snow. But, I would like to upgrade to the Vector 5 controller with bluetooth capabilities. This should be no problem, but I have an older MP2 that I would also like to upgrade. Would it be possible to fit my internal MP4 controller to an MP2? Or are the magnets/windings not compatible? Thanks a lot for any advice. Erik
Is it possible to upgrade the internal controller of MP2?
Re: Is it possible to upgrade the internal controller of MP2?
Hi Eric,
Just a reminder on the MP4 to MP5 upgrade to check the motor wiring connections as there where 2 types on the MP4. And as such you may need the wiring upgrade...
As far as the MP2 motor and MP4 controller, I don't think there's a spot for it around the axle, unless your talking about externally? Which would be doable but would require a cooling solution.
But the ultimate authorities and ones I would check with would be Gary, with Golden Motors Canada.
