QS 273 hub motor part/mounting question

Post by NeedForSpeed » Jan 04 2019 1:39pm

Anyone who may own a QS 273/or just knows, I just bought a QS 273 and there's this rectangular piece of metal on the axle. What is it? Haven't seen anything like this on a hub motor and can't find anything online about it. Also anything I need to keep in mind about it when mounting?

Thanks

I like to go fast 😎. Currently maintaining and improving a custom EEB frame build with a QS 273 motor and sabvoton controller. Custom built 20s10p battery with LG HG2 cells.

Torque arm. I made a custom reinforced swingarm with heavy slots to receive the axle so I ditched them. You shouldn't be running a QS273 in bicycle dropouts anyway, torque arms or not.

Thanks I appreciate the response, makes sense. This is going in an electric enduro frame, so torque arms aren’t much of an issue for me. Previously I was running my bike with a crystalyte TC100.
