I installed my new tongsheng 52v 750w motor today with a u.p.p 52v 13ah battery. When I turn on the display it turns on for about a second then turns off. Any ideas why this is happening? This is my.first build so I'm learning as I go

Battery could be low (unbalanced batteries are not uncommon when newly shipped), or there could be something that's not connected (or not fully or correctly) in the system cabling.

I don't know the TSDZ2 system but there are some systems that if the battery is too *high* a voltage they shut off, too.

There is a long thread about the TSDZ2 that may also have other info for you, and several other troubleshooting threads, if they help:

The only thing I can think of is there was an extra wire with a small connector that I can't figure out where it goes.... My first thought was that it's some kind of grounding wire or something...but I have no clue

What does the manual / instructions that came with the kit show it to be?

If it doesn't have any instructions, you might want to see if any are posted within the threads in the link above.
