Shorted the light output Juiced CCX now Light only turns on w/battery

Was wiring a new headlight to my Juiced Cross Current X & manage to short the connection. Now the light doesn't respond to the display switch & turns on right away when the battery is connected. I haven't ridden it yet to see if it screwed anything else but throttle/cutoffs seems to work. Does anyone know what might have happen for it to act this way & if it might be bad to run the bike like this assuming nothing other then the light control was screwed up.
