Phaserunner on Mac issues

I am trying to tune a new baserunner controller using my MacBook, I've tried updating the drivers but i still can't seem to get the controller to connect to the computer. the only port that shows on the software is a dev/cu/bluetooth-incoming- port.
im running the latest os..high sierra

any ideas
