Riding for a Cause

I’ve organized events before that were targeted for a specific industry, and I’ve participated with others to walk, hike or ride for charitable causes: March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Research, Arbor Day…

I have an idea for a ride that requires some sponsorship to offset production costs, although it has the potential to raise more than we’ll need, and I am looking for a good charitable cause with which to donate the excess.

Therefore I am soliciting for names of not-for-profit organizations that could best benefit from awareness through electric bike challenge in the Lower-48.

I kindly ask for ideas and information, and experience if you have it.

There seem to be a lot of folks that are walking, riding, etc. for Wounded Warriors, so even though there's been a lot of publicity lately, it's a worthy cause and seems like a tie in to pedal assist could be made.

Then there is worlbike building cargo bikes for Africa so people can have small business and farmers can be independent of Distributors( with trucks) and get their product or produce to market independently.
