And froze his nuts off.

Holy shit, that was the coldest week of my life. I have never felt so cold for so long, and never felt like I could ever warm up. Of course, it didn't help that this little sandgroper arrived with nothing more than a pair of shorts and a fleece jumper.

However, I managed to get my research done and thanks to Carsten at ANU, managed to get some good results. While at ANU I caught up with Neil (boostjuice) and had a grand chat about everything.

On Thursday night we met up at Ye Olde Locale Pube and being a pay night for the public service, the place was packed. It meant we had to sit outside in the (almost snowing) Canberra night air. Tony (SplinterOz) and Phil (Philistine) soon joined me and Carsten and we downed a few pints of beer at Perth prices. Brian (briangv99) arrived and after a few more, decided the temperature was way too low for any living organism, so we moved on to the Hellenic for some more beers at more respectable, gaming-machine subsidised prices. Neil soon joined us and after discussing everything and nothing, Tony had to leave to pack his bike up for the Wakefield TTXGP (well done to Jason and team Catavolt by the way!). Carsten and I had to catch the last bus to Gungahlin. Just as well, I was wasted

Pics or it didn't happen:

L-R: jonescg saluting the Summernats culture of Canberra, Carsten who was responsible for dragging me out of the pub, philistine who was probably in an alcohol/viagra/modafinol-fuelled rage, boostjuice who was happy to finally make it in out of the cold, and briangv99 who probably has the least sullied reputation out of all of us :D

Next morning I hung out with Tony as he loaded his Collosus-powered RG, while trying my best to keep mouthfuls of water from trampolining back, and stay out of the bitterly cold Canberra wind. I rode the bus back to ANU where Carsten had put in a solid 3 hours worth of data analysis, and found my experiments had worked better than first thought! Then back on the big bird to Sydney and Perth, where I was finally reunited with my Blackbird, my wife, and some decent warm weather

The Endless Sphere community is a bloody good one, and it's awesome I can get the chance to meet so many of you. Even those in Vancouver on occasion. Meantime, I will be trying to keep the salary flowing to pay for my expensive hobbies

Twas a rippa evening to be sure.
But Jeez Chris, before these latest remarks I thought the high-thigh stubbies were a voluntary statement of your he-man disregard for Canberra's climatic random temperature generator.

As they say, just as a ghost's presence may be only become visible in a developed photo, Philisine's inner demon is laid bare for all to see

If only I had a dollar for every time I heard the word "c**ksucker" that evening..... Good times
