Not to be confused with the group ride the day before, so I'm starting another thread so as to not hijack that one
I'm flying into town Sunday morning and because I can't make the previous days meet and the world revolves around me, let do another ride :p

Kepler, it's out your way so I'll let you post up meeting point details etc for those who want to join in

I think the two of us will come, although we have a pretty full-on day on Saturday, so no promises.
Look forward to hearing the meet details - we live in Warrandyte and will try to avoid driving.. I'd like to use my trike :)
Would be great for us if we met around midday or so.

Can you bring some Rev business cards along, I occasionally get people with 48V systems asking for parts which we can't do anything about.

Had one or two in my wallet that I got off you guys are Ausbike, but I lost it this week on a ride :evil:
 
OK, the Sunday ride will be a pleasant cruise along the Mullum Mullum creak trail. For those who haven't ridden this trail, its basically all sealed bike path with some decent hills to attack. The actual main trail is is not that long (about 7km) but there are plenty of off road tracks to detour around and test those off road skill if you like.

Proposed meeting point will be the car park of the Coach and Horses Hotel (33 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood) at 11.00am. As we will be finishing up there, makes sense to stop for a quick bit of carb loading and a bite to eat.

Great opportunity to catch up with the legendary Hyena. :p who is putting in a lot of effort to get down to this ride.

I will have my light weight Fighter and heavy weight 10kW Bomber there. Anyone who wants a test ride of any of these bikes is quite welcome to do so.

You'll find that at least 6 or 7 of us are vendors in some shape or form winkinatcha.
We need to keep the group non-competitive though as stated in the outset.

I am still keen to evolve the group into a Vic Ebike Association in the longer term for the sake of promoting ebiking, so am keen to make sure that we can keep it non competitive. Sorry to be a nark.

Don't buy from me, I don't have time to fix or build my own bikes these days, let alone for others :p
It's interesting how many of us end up on-selling ebike stuff though. I guess alot of it stems from a similar version of the following conversation:
"whoa that's cool, where'd you buy that ?"
"err, I made it myself"
"awesome! can you make me one ??"

Most of us at least seem to have found a point of difference when it comes to selling stuff.

@Hyena... yahh the "can you build me one?" is a biggy :)

@Samd... yahh I also know you sell n have visited your site. T3sla I have met, when I was just starting my workshop back at the time of the aborted winter night ride... So just giving him a dig in the ribs as to what I do... to be honest I know there are a lot of vendors but i dont know there are a lot of actual builders for resale, troubleshooters, maintenance and service guys... i am prepared to be surprised there tho.

My wife probably thinks I'm cheating on her when I leave work early but arrive home late, or disappear from the garage late at night. Nope, just sneaking in a few ebike rides :mrgreen:
Thanks for the heads up on the weather. That's rediculous for this time of year!

Speaking of selling things, and not to sidetrack or turn this into a for sale thread, but does anyone need a new CA ?
I have an extra here for a guy that now decided he doesnt want it (maniac!)

Bugger, looks like I missed out on really good meet. Bloody work function.



I think I need to push the meeting time out to 11.30am. Hyena's plane lands at 9.35am. He then needs to hire a car and get to my place. We then have about a 20 minute ride to the meeting place. I think 11.00am will be too tight.

Full throttle, hope you can make it tomorrow. Will be good to catch up.
 
hey Guys I went on the ride this morning too, and would like to tag along tomorrow as well. 11:30 would be great as it gives me a bit more time in the morning.

I have some minor repairs for the bike before then (tube) so I better get cracking. (and some minor repairs to me as well :twisted: )
 
Ive organised to pick him up at tulla at 9.45 and go straight There. Should be ok for 11 but up to you.

OK I'm leaving the airport just before 10 and getting a ride with with Sam (thanks!) and will head for your place Kepler. I'll grab some wheels and then we'll all head to the meet point. I guess people can still meet at the designated point at 11 if they want, we'll probably be there some time between 11 and 11:30 ?
 
Had an awesome time meeting all you guys and perving on the bike porn :lol: .. Soooo inspiring to see what all you guys are doing.. A very exciting space, we have the transport revolution within our throttles!!!
Really hope I wake up in time 2moro.. bit of a late night..
We'll do our best, to see the stealths too, sounds like its worth it.

Best I get the back wheel back on the Bomber then. Couldn't believe it, the freewheel failed last night. :x Great timing. Lucky I have a spare so no drama. :)

See you guys in a few hours. The weather is perfect. :)
