This is a "run what you brung" event for all the bicycle hippies & moped counter culture types in the mid west. It is the closest thing to burning man we have in michigan(if burning man was a one day event & celbrated two wheeled vehicles)
I see they have eliminated the "motorcycles" from the program....which is a good thing if you saw a previouse event. :lol:
If you have ever wanted to see and experience the text book standard of "urban decay" & have a world class good time doing it. You should show up & participate. The park has been reclaimed after decades of neglect...they used to have a huge soap-box derby track on that sight in addition to the velodrome. The velo track is absolutely horrible with broken concrete & pot holes everywhere....the hill is still there & the mountain bike race goes up the remnants of the hill.
Sadly, I have a scedual conflict & prolly wont make it to this event.
