Not sure if this is appropriate to post here, but I'll give it a shot--

This Saturday evening from 6pm to 10pm is the annual open house at the building that houses the machining and fabrication shop I co-own in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. We do a lot of work with bicycles including frame repair, custom cargo racks & trailers, and some e-bike stuff. We have some fun stuff like an electric half-recumbent half-upright cargo tandem, an electric full suspension tall bike, and an electric drift trike. The building houses several other metalworkers, woodworkers, artists, and craftspeople of all types. It's quite the interesting place, and the annual open house is the best time to see it all.

If you're free on Saturday please stop by the building (Equinox Studios), specifically our shop (Cyclefab, room 109), drink a beer (or a soda), hang out and let's talk electric bikes and metal fab!

Cool I will stop by to see this place.

I mentioned this event to a friend and she already knew about it
and would be outfront running the Schmackhammer.
What`s a Schmackhammer?

Haha, good question! That's a big drop hammer thing we made a few years ago for the Georgetown Carnival. It's kind of a fun interactive show piece because people get to stamp their initials into chunks of steel. It's also fun for smashing other stuff like pumpkins (or flaming pumpkins filled with oxy-acetylene)

Im going to keep an eye out for another open house, would be a fun ebike trip.. would you know if theres ferry service from seattle to georgetown?

Georgetown is just a few miles south of the docks in Seattle. It would be an easy ride on mostly flat ground.

The open house was good. I was there early for a short tour. Lots of metalworking shops on site blacksmith to machinist mixed with artists working with metal glass paint and I probably left a lot out. Stages being set up for bands to play later.
The Schmackhammer would shake the ground when in action.

Good times.

Thanks icewrench, for some reason i thought georgetown was 150 m iles south of seattle  its been to long since ive been to seattle twas a concert dwntwn in 2001? so a seattle ebike run would be fun,ive got 18.5ah and lots of torque for similar conditions in victoria bc..

Well, it's that time of year again. We've moved our machine shop into a larger space, but still part of Equinox Studios. The open house is slated to be bigger than ever this year with a new building full of tenants. Come check out the art & industry, and be sure to stop by my shop to chat about electric bike stuff. I now have a QS 205 on my cargo bike, and a Tangent on another bike, plus we upgraded our drift trike motor to an Edge from LA Ebike. Lots of fun stuff!!

We're in 6520 5th Ave South, Suite 108, straight through the front roll-up door next to the blacksmith shop. The event is this coming Saturday December 10th, officially from 6pm until 10pm, but I suspect we'll be around well into the night.

Going to try to make it.

Just to forewarn you, I want to talk to you about a problem. :)

I want to see if you think there is a way to combine this:
