If Interbike 2016 is any indication, ebike sellers are going to STOMP the (non power-assist) "competition".

"Debut Fall Cyclofest draws over 500 bike dealers to Charlotte, NC"

Amusingly... or not, the word "electric" not used in this report. Gotta "read between the lines". Like:
Ken Miner, Director of U.S. Sales for Haibike stated that it was a different crowd to the established west coast event.

“None of us knew what to expect, we were hoping for good things, and overall we were happy with the event. I’m used to going to Interbike and seeing the same people we’ve seen for the past 12 years, but out here we’ve seen all new faces – from dealers to independent reps. We saw folks from Minneapolis, New York, Florida – even Puerto Rico – and most did not go to Interbike. The facility was great, and the event was well run.”

Huh. Some outfit "Haibike"? Wonder watt THEY were doing there... hehe

Hehe... That time of the year again. Pumping out PR:

Fall CycloFest Returns to Charlotte, NC:

THIS year:
With electric bicycles, or “e-bikes,” beginning to gain momentum in North America, the event is the perfect destination for those curious about their capabilities, and to test a variety of models from numerous brands. Cannondale, Specialized, Raleigh Electric, iZip, Haibike and more will have e-bikes available for testing over the weekend. New for 2017 is the addition of a dedicated e-bike trail designed to test the capabilities of today’s e-mountain bikes (e-MTBs).
