I built this bike a few years ago first with a BBS02 https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=73635 then with a BBSHD https://www.electricbike.com/bafang-bbshd-1000w-mini-review/ I then put 575 miles on it all single track off road. I did those miles with a back pack battery (10 AH battery from Luna and 2 multistar 6S 8 ah). I experimented with a Kelly controller https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGYerVHIM0Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28buK_pKWtM but only ran it on the bench. The bike pretty much sat for a couple years as I moved on to other projects. This past winter I finally found a way to mount a reasonable size battery on the bike in a good way. I got 4 new Multistar 6S 8AH batteries from Hobby King and 4 electrical boxes (I'll find the link and update). I made some brackets and was able to put 2 on the down tube. My plan was to carry the other 2 in my pack and change them out in the middle of my ride. On my first ride I did a wheelie and when the front came down the fork stuck down, I got it back up eventually but it needs work or a new fork, that’s the bad. A little more about the bike, 2007 Transition Preston 125mm rear travel and can fit up to 26 x 2.8 tires on it, I put some wide wheels (Sun ringle double wide and a fatboy on the rear) and 2.7 Big Earl tires (the biggest I could find at the time, now you can get Maxxis DHF/DHR 26x 2.8 ). The fork is a Marrzochi ATA 55 set with 140mm travel. A Shimano 9 spd with 11-36 on the back and Luna Bling Ring on the front. I’m Running a twist grip shifter on the left and a thumb throttle on the right. Chain Line is perfectly straight in 5th gear. It’s got a BBSHD from Luna that I lubed with Mobile 1, I also got a spare nylon gear but never used it. For stopping power it has Avid Juicy 7 brakes with 203mm rotors front and rear. Anyway, I’ve got a bunch of other projects so I’m putting the whole deal in the sale section for $1200, the catch is pick up only near Washington DC/Baltimore. 15.jpg10.jpg1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg7.jpg pictur8.jpg9.jpg12.jpg13.jpg14.jpg16.jpg I'll update the pictures with better resolution ones this weekend.
