Dengfu?

I’m having a hard time finding any info on Dengfu frames?

I’m tempted to buy a fat bike frame from them.... communication is slow due to time zone differences, so I only get small bits of information each day.

I’m just curious if I’m throwing away money at one of their bikes, when I could be saving for a specialized.

if cost-effectiveness matters, know that any bike from Specialized comes with a brand surcharge that doesn’t buy you anything of real value. I’m sure their e-bikes are nice enough, but they are definitely more expensive than they are nice.

You could just buy a used, brand name bicycle, instead of some generic china brand bicycle. Save you money to go towards getting a better battery or a little bigger motor.

There are at least two builds on this forum using their frames.

I have had a bunch of their older road bike frames (Circa 2008- 2011). Solid. Most of my first batch went to friends and family that are still using them. Have one I still use on rainy or messy days this time of year mostly. Has to have more than 18000 miles on it going by my normal milage. No issues other than a bit heavy (some 250 grams) compared to my super lightweight Euro road frameset.

I would not hesitate other than making sure your getting what you really want in frame features, fit and geometry.

Thats the biggest problem with buying bicycles online, and where your LBS comes in handy. There maybe some good sales on at your local bicycle store (LBS), but how good who knows, I bet their profits are marginal at best and their real profit comes in with repair, maintenance and parts.

I was in their shop some 10 years ago, and name brands were rolling off of it!
