Just wondering if any one has found a good alternate to the 80-100. It seems to be out of stock and I would really like something similar. I have one now that I'm using but would like to get 4-5 more for some other projects. Any help on ideas or resources would be appreciated.

Let us know if you find one i know a few people now including myself waiting for HK to get more stock...

KiM

add me to that list. i've been daily checking HK to see if they restock the Turnigy's or offer an alternative thats not 400 bucks.

I have 4 on back order and was just told that they don't see getting them in the next three months. I have 4 bikes waiting for motors.

define "good alternate"
if price is in the equation then no  ....but there are plenty of big brushless motors to be had.

Geeze you guys! Looks like the E.S. crowd is single-handedly responsible for the motor shortage!!

The Leader hobby store seems to be one of the few sources still with stock of the 6374 motors also.
Several different versions too.

Let me have a think about it. (I really have enough on my plate without another project). If I do let it go you can have it for what I paid though. Not out to make a profit on it. :)

ho ho ho, and to think i was debating whether to buy one or not...

i got one...almost got two but wasnt too sure about how legit the site was.

yea speaking of the site who's bought form there before? anyone? interested in 1 or 2 but site looks cheap and dodgy... :?

Just thinking perhaps HK had to many issues with the motors and returns.now perhaps they are not in a hurry to restock them. I like the motors but I can just imagine there would be 100s of them that were sold defective. Some Not dead on arrival but with small issues that need sorting before putting them to use. The average knob would just run it stock out of the box and cry refund when It broke.

Maybe the ES crowd need to hunt down the manufactures and put a custom order in direct :D Would be great if we could specify bearings windings and so on.I have said it a few times before I would be happy to pay $200 if it was reflected in the QC and component quality.

My wife is in china now for a work trip. Probably to busy buying dvds and hand bags to worry about hunting down electric motors for me :(

Kurt.

Thanks Kepler can pay via paypal or direct deposit if/when you decide to sell, i want to try my hand at rewinding these so a 3rd motor is required ;)

I may get two of those smaller motors to build a dual drive for my velomobile, plus they match the color I have in mind for the frame, and the supersimple 200A ESC fins!

I've contacted a supplier in china but the minimum order is 100 units at $98 US plus shipping I would be willing to buy 10 or maybe 20 but I can't front for 100. Maybe we can put some group purchase together. open to any ideas. maybe we can have them wind them like Thuds and install hall sensors if we order a 100.

I just sent them a request to custom wind them and install hall effect sensors. I would guess the price would increase. maybe we could get a count on how many people would want to purchase these and at what price.

is it possible to add a poll

what is the max price you would pay for 80-100 130 wound with 14 gage and hall sensors installed

outrun 80-100 130 @ $150us
outrun 80-100 130 @ $175us
outrun 80-100 130 @ $200us
outrun 80-100 130 @ $225us

Plus shipping
