SEV ETRICKS

Why so you can fool yourself into thinking ebikes arent for poseur pussies
This is not an ebike
It is an ultralight bmx trials motorcyle
Maybe you want pedals for a backup if you run out of juice
Or you want to be "legal"
Still negative weaksauce
This thing fcuking rocks
Hard
Rev 2.0 will be aws

Only for legal reasons.

I agree, if only it had pedals it will be a all round winner, by not having pedals the company has limited its sales.

What if it had pedals that you could lock into a foot peg position and than unlock back to normal pedal position?

that would be the best solution, lockable or ( easy ) removable or maybe even foldable out of the way.

it has pedals available :)
etricks evolution R01

a guy in our offroadforum odered one ... I have to meet him with my bomber for a ride :)

The fact that SEV were smart enough to make things modular speaks volumes. Not only can you add the second battery to the bottom of the frame for extended range but you can have your choice between pedals or foot pegs. If you look at their various models they have something for everyone. You could ride to your off road area of choice with the foot pegs, fat comfy seat, second battery, mirrors, signals etc and than remove all of that, swap to pedals and have off road fun with the single battery for assist.

yes I know, but you can not propel it using the pedals so it has got to be classed as a moped then this limits the sales either by country, age or licence. I think they could be missing out on a lot of sales. Its a lovely bit of kit and well designed. No they dont have models for everyone, If the evolution had pedals that also work I would have one

I hear ya, it really does put it in a unique category. So the pedals can't drive the bike, are they used as generators than?

The "pedals" are fixed in the same planes
They go in the same spot as the foot pegs
Gives the illusion
Also pedal style footpegs are super comfy

Check out their facebook page
Love how they rag on chinese death gas scooters
That sell for less than a good Bicycle
Im sure the etrick is safer than junk

Google tanslate does nothing for thier page, it stays in French which kind of sucks.

How much cycles can have this li-ion battery before crap?

I think the price is reasonable for a 37kg e-bmx with a 864Wh li-ion and 4:30 chargetime 8)

Wish these were offered in the USA! They'd probably be regulated and need to be registered and so on.

you can order the bike in germany as street legal version with plate and a 45kph limit

In the states it gets pretty complicated, there's a federal regulation that certain vehicles fall under and then individual state regulations. I think anything that is over 1,000w, goes over 20mph unassisted and weighs a certain amount or something must be registered and needs license, plate, lights, mirrors, signals etc. I think the SEV ETricks would be considered a Light Electeic Vehicle but may fall under Moped regulations. Anyone know anymore about this?
