Rotomax Mods

Hi all

Been searching for days on the forum for any info in regards to if its possible to swap the shaft so it exits through the rear (mounting plate side), If anyone can direct me to a post that may show best way to tackle this mod it would greatly appreciated.

Hello tom,
I have an older model of the motor, its simple to fab a new shaft 12mm & exit through the desired side. I seem to have lost a bunch of photo's in my war with Facebook & photo bucket.

I had some detailed pics i sent to Aussiejester when he adapted the ca120 to his current ride. If kim see's this he'll post the picks if he still has them.....or i'll get a fresh pic of my solution. I dropped the original mount & fabbed an adapter to match the bolt pattern of an 80-100...that guided the wires safely out of harms way.

I just wanted some sort of guide of how to do it, any pics would be greatly appreciated, I have never even held an out runner in my hands before, so got no real clue of what Im up for when I open her up Lol, got 4 weeks off from work at the end of this month and wanted to try and get everything I need in order to give it a bash

Cant seem to track down the pics i had of the mount Thud made up for his CA120 setup
but i do have the one i did that i used Thuds ideas for, hope these pics are of use...









Toolman2 uses one of the CA120s in a MTB like to get a handle on how well they go with
a dog box mounted to them off road check out the videos hes posted

Thanks mate,

I feel confident about getting an outrunner now and having a crack at it, as for fitting hall sensors that's heaps of searching through the forum to see if I can work out how to do it, that side of things should take me 2 years to work out lol.
