Index of non-hub motors used on E-bikes, specs & links

Post by spinningmagnets » Sep 17 2014 7:44am

This is intended to be a quick reference of non-hub motors that have been used on E-bikes. Each motor listed will have a concise block of basic specs listed, and links to threads where in-depth discussion can take place, Any ES member can post to this thread, and useful info posted will be added to the index in this first post.

I've built a prototype friction drive with the following motor:

E-Flite Power 160 (http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Defau ... =EFLM4160A
Brushless 14 poles
245 kV
Shaft diameter 8mm
overall length 64mm
diameter 63 mm

I've put on about 100 miles in the first week and it works great with a cheap Turnigy 85A ESC.
I'm currently building a bracket like Adrian's CommuterBooster.

Cheers,
Michael
