3D printed Grinhill drive in the news

Years ago, ES Australian member "grinhill" built a non-hub drive, where a small 63mm diameter RC motor and ESC had powered a belt-drive to the rear wheel. (March 2009, it's so old that the post ID number at the end of the link has only four digits...9172)

I saw the original video of this and wanted to build one.

The design is on thingiverse but the files are not in an editable format and the designer does not want to make changes for other bikes.

It is unfortunate since it means you will have to redraw most of it from scratch just to change the mounts.
