I don't think you normally see CST tires here in USA.
They're common enough, actually. I've used the brand for bicycle tires for a long time, and considered them when looking for MC / moped tires a couple/three years ago (though I went with Shinko mostly cuz of cost and thickness/tread type available at that time). I still use the CST City "slick with edge knobbies" as my 26" front tire for a number of reasons, on everything I've built for a while now. I buy them locally at the closest LBS to me (Gordy's https://www.gordysbicycles.com/service/about/ ).

I do hope you get your bike back (soon, if possible, with all hte bits still on). :(

Here are pics of my stolen Frey. I put a silver and black twist grip throttle on it and I do have the serial number of the battery. Lesson learned, I never took a good photo of the serial number of the bike itself nor did I register it, and I cropped the serial number of the motor out of the photo and didn't save the original. So I may end up relying on a battery serial number to ID it if I ever get the chance.

Sad news to report. My Frey AM1000 was stolen last night.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area so if anyone from this area sees one riding around or for sale, maybe let me know.

It was white with blue lettering, but I think what makes it unique are the Ching Sheng Tire BFT 27.5 x 3.0 tires. I don't think you normally see CST tires here in USA.

I normally don't keep the battery on it either, but I left it on there that night so the thieves got a 52 volt battery too, argh!

:(

Thanks,
Sean
Thieves suck! I hope you get it back.

If they want your stuff it's almost impossible to stop them, even still, this is why I'm buying $300+ of chain and lock. They'll need to work for it.

My AM1000 has been completed. All parts arrived and it shipped out today so it’ll be making its way to me in the UK now. Hopefully it won’t be too long 🙂

Grace has been brilliant throughout. Progress updates and photos during the build, through to seeing it all packed in its box, have kept me excited these last few weeks since I ordered it.

Mine too! And yes, Grace has been awesome. I'm looking for more vids featuring the AM1000 online. There aren't enough (that will hopefully change once I get mine).

I have a feeling it might take a while to get to the UK! We're both across the world from China. (I'm not in the UK but without giving too much info about myself I'm still at another extremity)

Can't wait!

Has anyone considered or using one of these to enable legal road use of their AM 1000?
https://eggbikes.com/eggrider

Really want to find a way to make these bikes road legal in Spain as I want to start a bike rental company and need to comply with the stupid 250w / 15mph laws.

Thanks

I asked them about the product to use with the bafang ultra @ 52v battery, their reply:

"Yes, 58.8 is the highest voltage we support. It's also compatible with Bafang Ultra, according to our customers."

I would love to try one of these as I don't realy use the screen. It's supposed to have a button to turn on/off the off-road mode (P > 250W, but more importantly, it should limit the speed to 25kmh. The power can't be tested properly but the speed limit and cutting of the throttle would be amazing.

As you known, we have design, developing and producing capacity of high end ebikes. we are keeping improving present models always and developing new models that market demands in very quick speed, and as soon as we release the bikes, all in good performance and reliable quality already.
In last 2 years, we start from AM1000 model and already have 6-7 models available.
We are developing a complete product lines to meet all kinds of market demands for customers. Base on 1000W Ultra: MTB(full suspension and hardtail) FAT Bike(full suspension and hardtail), Base on M500/600 now is full suspension MTB available. and even some city style model if market demands on it.

Now we have classic AM1000 which welcomed by many customers who want to get a big power/battery high end full suspension MTB. and recently update M600 2.0 with 250-500W motor system in a lighter weight which can easy to play with.
And fat bike HUNTER, hardtail MTB HT1000 and earlier developed full suspension FAT1000 do you remember?
Now we have also update it in FAT1000 2.0 base on AM1000 4.0 suspension construction geometry.

hi all, is anyone noticing an increase in play in the rear triangle? Mine can move significantly sideways and it's concerning me a bit. I know FS bikes have this but it increased within the last year and a half.

First, I would check all assemblies to make certain nothing has come loose and most importantly to verify originating locatio. My wife rides a 10 month old AM1000 and it is still nice and tight with no significant flex on full throttle. However, she rides it mostly on farm and levee trails, no "hardcore" stuff. :) With that handle, I am assuming you ride yours hard.

When I ordered her AM1000, I had Ivy include a rebuild kit for the rear end. I am sure she can supply you one of it is worn. Can't remember the cost, but it was low, like $30-40.

I will be interested to hear what you find as the root cause of the movement.

can you elaborate on the situation that led to this and what the errors are on the display?
No speed readout & no pedal assist, strangely the walk function still works but have no throttle. Kind of points to something wrong with the controller. I wired up another speed sensor to the bafang, which gave the speed readout back, which was weird.

Nothing led up to it, was working fine the day before.

Ivy has kindly decided a replacement motor is the best idea and I believe it's still under warranty. Woohoo for Frey service, A+.

Hoping the throttle and gear sensor still work and haven't been taken out as well though!

Loving the looks of the new M600 V2 bike.. WOW.

Additionally, wonder if the M600 display (DPC23) would work with the Ultra? The DPC18 has always been a bit large and unprotected when flying through thickly wooded single track.

I rebuilt the rear triangle with enduro bearings but there seems to be a few mm play at the contact points and the triangle even hits the frame. I can add some pictures when I get back. It just sucks that when jumping this causes the bike to be very unpredictable. And yes, it was used like a proper enduro e-mtb.

the M600 display C240 is not compatible with C18 for Ultra. each motor come with a specific display.

Here are the pictures of the frame where the rear triangle from the suspension rubs against it on both sides indicating the play that occurs. Any ideas on what I can check to fix this problem?

My AM1000 has nearly got to me. It’s now at Standsted in the UK (I’m in the UK). I have just paid the customs/VAT/admin fees to Fedex and I’m really pleased as it only worked out at a total of 3.7% of the total that I’ve paid out for the bike (including the credit card fee I paid). I’m so pleased as I’d been reading about anti-dumping, USA/China trade wars and possible customs up to 79% on eBikes! I think I’ve been lucky! The bike is now released and should be with me this week 😀

Great to hear that, I'm switching to a newer frame as mine is still one of the first versions. Their 5.0 AM1000 should be sent to me thanks to Ivy for coming to an agreement on how to handle my situation!
