OH and while we're at it, I remember reading about shorter cranks. I'm sure I could find the answer from a search in about 2 minutes, but if someone feels like calling that out as well, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Shorter cranks: 150 mm Delta
REF NUMBER: PD11IBT17CA700001541
Miranda bikes

Let me know what you think of them, if I get my bike its possible I will order a set to.
Cool! Thanks. I'm gonna go with the Q16 150 I believe.

I have received my Frey AM1000. Replaced the tires with Schwalbe Moto-x 27.5x2.8. Failed at making them tubeless. The rims have a "slit" (where the rim is joined in a hoop) in the rim that leak. Frey insisted that their rims can't be made tubeless. Put a 53 tooth chainring on. Changed the handlebars and put an extended stem on.
I chug along at 25 mph (in Florida), with a smile on my face.
The battery charger has a fan, which charges in a couple of hours. It says its 2 amps.
I have a 52v battery.
Yellow...
Hi - this is awesome. Can you let me know what stem you got and what the crucial dimensions are, by chance?

Thanks!

My FAT1000 was shipped on Friday. Anyone have had their bike shipped to Europe? Any estimates?

Just checking to see how people are liking their Fat1000?

What's the difference between the Fat1000 and FF1? They have different rear suspension. Are they both in production?

Had an HT1000 in July, shipping by train is supposed to include duty etc. Mine arrived to my door around 4 weeks with no hassle or duty/VAT. Extreme packaging. WIll take you a while, but good. Maybe got lucky, who knows in the UK at the moment, by train, this first comes into EU in Poland and they have recently slapped a 80% anti-dumping duty on Chinese imported e-bikes, but how it's enforced is difficult to ascertain.

The seller has promised me a customs free shipping. Therefore it’s him who pays if something goes wrong. Alibaba has a buyer protection system so therefore I should be covered. Nevertheless I haven’t heard that anyone would have had their bike to be seized and charged with the 80% tax in Poland or in the whole EU.

Hello,

I got a Frey 1000watt with extra battery about 6 months ago.. I rode it a few times and now have no time to ride it. I would like to sell it for it is a great bike and I have under 100 miles on it... If anyone is interested I will take 30% off of what I payed for the bike and ship it anywhere you'd like within the US. Please contact me at BoKhuART@gmail.com. The bike is size large.

Hello, I ordered a Top of the line Frey 1000 watt duel suspension bike. My original reason for buying it was to commute to work. When it came I realized that it was too big of a bike for my to keep in my office. I would like to sell it, please email me if you are interested. It has 20 miles on it.

We would like to share our first FREY exchange tour schedule with you below:

FREY exchange tour in September
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Date: 14-21th,September

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is our first time to operate this kind of event, now it is under preparation phase. We will keep latest news and info update by pictures and videos for more friends who focus on FREY and FREY bikes can't attend this time. and if it goes well, it is possible that we will operate it in certain period of time, such as annual for more people can attend and join us, it can be a funny party, or organized by many customers from you together with us in the future.
Dear Frey - I think this is such an excellent idea and it must be a first for the eBike manufacturers in China. It’s really great for such an event to be organised and also gives good opportunity to those that have your bikes to provide feedback to help with future development. Are there any ‘teasers’ you can give about your new 2020 models or are they remaining top secret until next month? 😆

I bought an AM1000 earlier this year and it’s been excellent. The order process, delivery and after sales support provided through Grace have been very good. I’ve been playing with the gearing a little bit and increased the size of the chainring (from 40T, to 42T and now 46T) - for me this now puts it in my sweet spot as 60% of the time I am in the middle cog on the rear cassette (optimal chainline) but have the flexibility of the higher and lower ranges if I’m going fast on-road or making steep ascents off-road. It also means the running gear should last me longer. I’ve done 300miles of varied riding on mine without any problems. With that revised gearing it now does 40mph on the flat!

I’m one of the lucky guys here in China with Frey this week on the Exchange Tour. It has been an amazing week so far. We’ve been to their factory to see how they design and build the bikes and they also did the formal launch of the two new models as detailed in the article: https://electrek.co/2019/09/16/frey-bik ... ex-am1000/.
There will be a lot more information and details coming out in the next few days. They have hosted it extremely well and couldn’t have been nicer to us and they are certainly a company doing all the best things possible for their customers. We got to meet all of their staff and we’re now at Brave Peak Bike Park riding these amazing eBikes on a variety of different tracks.

The new bikes have a lot of super cool features you’re going to love. I already have one of the AM1000 version 5’s in the UK that I bought this year.

I was at the Frey event for the first two days, now back at work in Suzhou while the other guys are having fun :(

Indeed it is a well organized and very hospitable event, with the release of the 2020 models and factory tour the first day. All foreign participants had the same vibe feeling, this is a special company that builds bikes with a passion, the Frey Family.

Look forward to the stories and see the rest of the pictures and video's of the guys during the next few days.

And yes, my wife wants a CC now too

By the way, did you know Frey stands for Free Ride Enjoy Your(self, day, ride etc.).

Guys here’s a quick teaser video showing the first ride and unveiling of the new Frey EX and Frey CC bikes. I’ve been part of the whole Exchange Tour week with Frey in China and when I get home I will be producing a full video of my week from the first person perspective. Please enjoy and provide any initial comments.

Thanks for watching.

Can anyone tell me which thread the 12x148 rear axle has?

I would like to tow a child trailer occasionally, and would buy a other axle for this.

This axle has a 1.5 mm thread pitch. I used this bolt on instead of the quick release:

True, the question was about the pitch and the same company sells the correct ones for attaching trailers etc.

Hi TOLM - that was me riding the bike and luckily I didn’t fall in the water to test out your question! Knowing the bike as I do, I think it would survive ok being totally submerged under water momentarily but I would recommend it. You’d be better looking at submarines for those sorts of underwater missions 🤣

Seriously though all the bikes connections are specially waterproofed and the connectors to/from the Bafang motor have special rubber inserts to provide for a waterproof connection. I have seen someone somewhere riding the AM1000 in deeper than the wheel axels with the motor fully submerged but I don’t recommend it.

Finally, I’ve got another couple of YouTube videos up on the Frey Exhange Tour that took place last week and you are welcome to have a watch.....
