Can the 3-speed Shimano Nexus withstand the Cyclone 3000W?

Id like to simplify my 24spd K2 Crush's drive train. Is this worth messing with? The idea of internal gearing within the hub seems interesting, but how will it stand up to the savagery of the C3000W? I figured the 3 speed would have the largest gears within.
