Hi everyone
This is a bike I have been building for the past year
Specs
Alloy/Carbon frame
Magura MT5e brakes
14s5p battery 30q cells
BBSHD drive
also will have wiring hidden in frame and a removeable battery and a front chain guide that bolts/bonds to the bbshd housing

Very slick, I like the Norco vps/specialised bighit style suspension. lot of room for batteries too. excellent work.

Frame is all alloy/Carbon, modified Big Hit that has been stiffened and strengthened by the addition of 3k Carbon fibre. Most of the hollow areas of the original frame have been filled in, as well as wrapping Carbon tow (think thousands of strands of carbon fiber running parallel in a rope) around the head tube and down along the frame tubes, Overkill I suppose but I did drill 2 big holes in the down tube by head to hide my wiring and cables. All alloy was coated in resin to avoid corrosion issues later on.

I did have a lot of early build photos but lost them when I put my camera down at work whilst having lunch. (out in the middle of nowhere on the side of a hill)

Couple of poor ol gassers in the background, Funny thing is I seem to enjoy riding the electric bikes now. Especially the freedom of riding almost anywhere and any way I want to ride them.

Looks awesome Matt! Great to see a home-built carbon frame.. something I have thought about myself (too many existing projects to finish first..). Will be interested in seeing how it turns out.

Cheers, good to see a few guys from NZ on here. Its been one of those projects that has dragged on, will give it a big nudge soon to get it finished.

Entered in a race next Sunday. 16 kms on gravel road. Doesnt even look close to being finished. Nothing quite like a deadline to get things moving
