Wow it’s been 7 years from endless sphere and I’m back.

Need some help to roll out a project I’ve been working on.

We have designed a very interesting emtb frame with a kinematic engineer who Is completing his PhD in F1 racing suspension kinematics.

Results are amazing and we’re ready to build a prototype.

Problem is Bosch nor Shimano want to sell us a motor without it being attached to an already made bike.

I have found some suppliers in USA selling retail about $960usd motor only.

Can any endlesssphere members know how to source a motor?

Magura USA only so motor swaps not new units so that’s out.

Haven’t ruled out BROSE or Bafang M800 but we need to test out our frame with either a Bosch or M8000 Steps motor.

Will post design shortly 😱

Check out the new TQ , mid-drive motor, European motor.

I just found out about it from watching oen of those 2018 Eurobike Video's on Youtube.

It is said to have a real world 120 Newton Meters of Torque, nearly or full time torque, unlike other systems that have up to that much for short bursts.
And
Much better PAS system . Which is much needed in the e-bike world.

My impression was that they have an exclusive deal with HaiBike.

What gave you that impression? Their site clearly states the motor was designed for multiple application areas, which already excludes the mere mountain bikes of HaiBike: https://www.tq-e-mobility.com/en/Application-Areas/

Unless you are telling me you really think HaiBike is going to make something like this in the near future:

Anyway, I'm curious to see more about this project.
