Hello all, great community you have here.
Please delete if there is a guide out there already as I could not find.
Aside from mention of TSDZ2, I am not aware of any torque sensing mid-drive bolt-on systems available. This tech seems rather old, no?
I was wondering if there are any other more contemporary torque sensing mid-drive motors that are bolt on currently or suspected to come out on the market? I am very used to my Levo, and 1. can't (and don't want to) afford another full squish variant and, 2. would like to get something I could program that feels somewhat similar.
my primary desire is...
- bilateral torque sensing on crank, intuitive enough for me not to be pining for throttle override incessantly.
- torque sensor within motor unit as this will be used for off-road and dirty applications
- looking for a motor system to HELP, not completely take away the pain of climbing a mountain, and for this I assume to reap benefits of weight savings on descent. I am a mtb'er first, not trying to replace my car or motorbike here.
I enjoy tinkering, if independent components available, I am not averse to building my own system. I also have metalworking ability in the ferrous realm of things only (hence why I am not retro-fitting a g510 to an existing frame), suitable for bracket fabrication.
Thanks!
