Do you guys think this motor will have stronger torque curve with same current than bafang 250w bbs since it have almost twice the gear reduction ratio 1 : 38 and you can choose between 36v and 48v version.
There is also a 500w version

Seems to be a bit heavier or just as heavy as a bbs02, but delivers significantly less power. Price is roughly the same.

I'm scratching my head as to why companies like these bother building clones of clones. ( the BBS02 is a modified clone to begin with )

yes,but it cant be a clone if it has a gear reduction 1:38 thats almost twice the gear reduction of the bafang bbs

Well, i understand it's not an exact clone.

You'd think that with the higher reduction ratio, they'd either be making more power, or the drive would be lighter.
This has been the case with dual reduction hub motors.

plus they aim to add a torque sensor version of their Mid Drive which puts it in competition with the TSDZ2 motor rather.

Wendy at Bmsbattery.com just told me that the Bafang bbs 01 250w motor was stronger than this new 250w Akiema motor.

The Aikema torque sensing version MD.P250.01 Bild 2019-02-17 um 11.44.50.jpgshould be available in coming next months writes a sales person. The motor seems a little smaller than a bbs, however Q factor is same and weight not much less.

I'm starting to see these for sale on PSWPower and BMSBattery. Price is similar to the TSDZ2. Does anyone have any hands-on experience with this motor?
