Cyclone 3000 throttle response with stock controller is very un-smooth. Not suitable for off road, the bike can throw you off of it if you'll ride while standing. Is there a solution? Another controller maybe? Tried Phase runner, but it can't read the encoder, and not sure if will improve the throttle response.

If it has a connector for bluetooth dongle and you don't have one, get a yuyang king bluetooth dongle. $15 on aliexpress.

Check your rear gearing. A large sprocket in the back gives a lot of torque. This is great for rocket take offs and hill climbs but the force pulling you back and you inadvertently advancing the throttle can be scary if you’re not prepared. Think this is called a whiskey throttle from the gas motorcycle guys.

get a current sensing speed controller. It's most likely not the throttle. The stock cyclone controller is speed controlled and has terrible throttle response

First get some throttle control. Cyclone is not that torquey or powerful especially not on a stock controller. You can definitely ride around it.

Then get a decent motor that will work with a torque-mapped controller. Cyclone has issues with the hall signal that will likely prevent you from using any of the popular torque mapped controllers.
