Hey everyone,

I'm about to upgrade my enduro ebike to a ~6,000-7,000 watt system.

My battery is an 86v with a max charge of 96.6v and a continuous output of around 80 amps.

I'm getting a Sabvoton controller - SVMC96120 and a QS205 50H BUT... I see that there's a V2 and a V3 version of this motor... does anyone know the difference? I've tried finding info online but so far, I don't see any real difference in terms of performance.

There have been threads and discussions about this topic. The v3 has more copper in the windings so it can make more power or overheat less. Thats about the long n short of it.

The question should be: between v1 and v3, because if you think about a v2 you might as well buy the v3. Yet the v1 is lighter because it has a punched sheet metal stator, not as good a motor but good to build faster in acceleration and braking, at the cost of lower top speed and lesser efficiency I believe. So between the 3 of them, there is a logical reason to go for the v1 or the v3, but the v2 has no advantage.

How did I miss this?! I was searching but maybe not using the right words? 0_0 Welp... thanks for sharing the link and info! Really appreciate it.
