Guys, been looking on ebay and amazon and must say I am having trouble finding hydraulic disc brake kit that would have ebike brake cut-off trigger. The ones I found where modified with bafang style sensors that you glue on ( not what i am looking for ).

Looking for easy maintenance 160mm rotor hydraulic brakes with ebike cut off levers. Please share if you have found a good solution.

Currently running MAC8T @ 52v so zipping around at 30mph is very common, wanted to upgrade.

Thank you!

I had purchased a pair of Magura MT5e because they are switched, but didn’t like them. I re-installed the MT7 and now back to a thumb button momentary switch. I prefer it that way, using regen only when it is an advantage on some surface conditions. Most of the time, my brakes alone without regen are making much shorter braking distance.

There are some issues to over-come to go pure hydraulic and most go the Hall sensor route. Even Justine Le of Grin (and this forum) tried coming up with a work-around to hydraulic.
I just did this;

but lots of irrelevant stuff too

regen braking reduces the need to eat through brake pads
while out riding in the country, or bush, i'd rather have cable actuated disc brakes the hydraulic fluid brakes
dont want nothing to puncture or break then the fluid get on the pads and they are then useless.

That is a matter of speed. At some point, we need hydro brakes, and the best of them. As for cables, they are much more likely to break than the cheapest of hydro brake hoses.

Then, I prefer wearing brake pads than skin or worse, breaking bones. Precision of braking control does make shorter braking distance.
