Hi Guys,

I notice randomly some pictures of very unique lacing method, with section of bike chains instead of the spokes. i was trying to find more information in the web regarding its mechanical behavior and reliability, unsuccessfully.
Does anyone here have experience with that kind of lacing method?

attached the pictures

Complicated, heavy, adds no strength and probably sounds like a tin can full of pebbles.
Did I miss any good points?

Yup. Bike chain needs lube every 200 miles. :D

Bling has no limits.

If nothing else, I'd rather have the spokes break first, instead of the aluminum flange holes on the hub.

Motorcycle/large scooter quality mag wheels would be a good thing though, instead of radial laced spokes. What I mean is just stronger cast wheels that mount a standard motorcycle tire, but the axle is bike size.
