Hello,

I recovered a ebike : it's a Orbea Boulevard from around 2012 with a bionx rear motor (250w high torque) without the dock and battery, the remaining things are :
  • The motor
  • The console (G2)

1) Can you confirm that there is no electronic in the dock for the battery, only wiring ?

I see after some research that its possible to use the bionx system without the proprietary battery only by connecting the can bus and create supplies (5v, 12v) for the display and the controller. (see schema)

Can you confirm that the system on pictures are :
- Can bus (checked by serial number)
- 36v or 48v ? (if 36v, can I put 48v battery and is it interesting?)
- Display G2
- Motor PL 250HT

The schema shows the connection with the dock battery, is it possible to find the pinout for the Hirose connector ?

2) My idea is to use a std battery rack and put all electronics in the space provided for a controller (dc-dc step down 5v and 12v)

I just ordered some stuff :

- DC-DC convertor for the 5v and 12v
- Bionx extension wire (to avoid cutting the wire from display/controller)
- 48v battery from a heavy electric Scooters (no idea of the max current supported by the bms but I think it will be sufficient for this bike without throttle)

I confirm that the display works with 5V (without canbus connected).
I wait to receive the material to continue testing.
