hardware is one-off, design, prototype and production, one design can last for a year but software need keep on going for instance we have few A4 page of software roadmap but hardware just single page !

Nice and clean montage.

I use this one

Image

works good even in rain and offroad. But is little big at the handlebar. Look not so clean.
I like when not vizabel when bike is electric.

IOS programming is not so difficult, however for iphone we need to change new hardware, for iphone bluetooth, we need bluetooth ble or 4.0 since iphone 4s, 5 and onward support bluetooth 4 !

That's a pity...The cost of upgrading to 4s or 5 spoils the fun:D

Far far cheaper then to get an android phone just for use on the bike.

Is it possible to set the Speedict to have a default low speed setting that can be automaticly changed to high when the phone is within range ?

One reason could be

Limiting speed to people who may ask for a test ride but lack the skills / experience that are required at higher speed, ie limit them to 10 Mph or so without having to alter the Speedict, this is an issue when giving / allowing test rides several times a day, far easer just to turn the phone off (or just the Bluetooth)

we are working on profile approach, allow quick switch to different profile, but whether bluetooth within range as switch is risky imagine when bluetooth suddenly disconnect and speed change .....
