Hi, new user here and new to electric bikes in general. I've been doing some research on getting myself a bike for my commute to work. So far my choice is the Dahon Mu P8 with the Bionix 250 watt Li-ion kit.

The only problem is the installation--it won't fit on the center bar because that's where the Dahon folds. Aside from putting it on a rack, has anyone tried or heard about installing it on the seat post? I don't mind keeping the seat post extended out when the bike's folded.

Thanks!

Yeah, that seems to be the main install method. Just wondering if anyone's tried/seen a seat post mounted one.

How about a DIY build with a lithium pack? I wasn't very impressed by the PL250 on that bike.
Honestly, I don't have the patience or time to do a DIY project right now... :( got too many started already and I'm looking for a fairly immediate solution for the commute. Based on what I've read and after taking a test ride, I feel the out-of-the-box experience is acceptable for my purposes.

But from what I've seen here it looks fun (and addicting)!

I can give it up anytime... really. Anytime.

Really.

Wouldn't change my life a bit if i did.

Any time.

Funny... I'm sweaty, but it feels cold in here.
