i need a range extension!

i was thinking about getting a hybrid 2-stroke motor, but now i'm thinking it might just be simpler to invest in more NiMH batteries.

are there any good UK distributors? i now battery space and all-battery is good but i don't want to pay horrendous shipping and have to wait ages and then pay customs charges.

Cheers

Hi Matt,

I have used Farnell.co.uk in the past. These look good, 1.2V NIMH D 7AH. 35A max current.

They have larger but they get very expensive.

When I have ordered stuff from Justin at http://www.ebike.ca in Canada, I've manage to get away without paying any duties. I get stung every time from the US. Even allowing for 5% duty and VAT Justin's batt's a good value compared to Farnell. He has 36V 8Ah NiCad, 5C Max Rate, for CA$260. If you don't mind NiCad of course.

You could always try LiFeBATT :D PM me with your requirements if your interested.

Cheers,

Ian
