yeah probably pedal assist but as intended for the offroad market including usa its not likely limited to 250w power.. im guessing 750w usa power limit?? but your right, one can only run so much power through a crank/chain puller without increasing chain stretch and drive train wear..
also of course its no match for the power and customization possibilities of a diy build haha
but.. i bet it handles offroad real nice and climbs like a goat..
giant is one of the largest bike manufacturers in the world..
they make their own brand as well as manufacture the bikes for many other brands (that are made in taiwan & china)..
this ebike thing may be catching on..
the next question is.. what will specialized, trek, etc answer be..
