My favorite toy was stolen

Post by psychonurse » Sep 08 2013 7:51pm

Hi Guys, I'm down in the dumps big time. I drove my Diamond Back Amped bike conversion to the local market last week. I was in a rush and locked the back wheel to the frame. DUMB I know. In market 5minutes and come out and bike is long gone. Had recently upgraded to a lithium battery. Perhaps my outlook will change but I don't think I will get another one. Too easy to steal. If they have a lojack system for bikes maybe I will buy another one. I'm bummed out right now.

The Jackals! When you are feeling better, checkout this thread re exact product type you asked about. A GPS device hidden on your bike that can lead the cops (or hired assassins) to the bike and/or thief. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewto ... =3&t=53200 :(

Oh No! not another one. I can imagine how horrible this must be for you.Think of any insurance possibilities.Like using a credit card for purchases, or home owners / renters policy.

Check to see if there were any security cameras out there.

Check craigslist every day. You might find it. Bike thieves dont know what to do with an ebike since its useless without a battery charger. Most bike thieves are too stupid to know how to replace the charger.

I really appreciate the input you guys gave me. Yes, I have been checking Craigslist every day. Unfortunately my homeowners deductable is a grande. No help there. The markets camera showed a guy carrying it off. Police didn't even go to check out the tape. I think my next bike will be a Prodeco x-2 folding bike. My wife says don't let those scum get to you. Buy a better one and move on. I wish I could just blow it off and not be bummed. Like the idea of the lojak type system for bikes. Will check that out for sure.

HA! Hopefully no one inside though. Hope you see your bike again. That sucks on many levels.
