I havent had any success finding out if a crystalyte X5304 would fit anyone know of the top of their head?
I am considering buying one.

Thanks.

I've seen quite a few of those with 2 cycle engines, but never a motor yet.

BUzzz (Ypedal) made one or two.

Yep, the dropouts are 10mm, but the width of the rear frame is not going to acomodate all motors, the OCC stingray is 185mm / 7 inches from outer side, left to right, this means you need a motor with an 8" axle in order to have threads extend past the frame.

Thanks you Ypedal. I have two bikes in the neighbourhood that are up for grabs one for $100 and the other for $250. The more expensive already comes with an electric kit so I will take a look at both.

I've got 1 converted too. A BMC hubmotor has just about long enough axle to fit in the dropouts at close to centre, the newer Puma motors don't (though the original prototype will fit just about). :D Makes for a nice enough ride, as long as you dont go much over 20mph!

It was sold as an ebike in some places at one time, with a really lame wattage for kids. Might show up on ebay, they had a rear hubmotor.

hi all
the snob american chopper I did was where one company had copyed the stingray design, I bought the copy and converted it using a puma/bmc see url below

have a read the stingray is very simmilar I picked one up second hand for spares, the bike is not in use at the moment due to a motor wire damage then concentrating on other projects, when I fix the bike it will be better than it was.
they are lovely things no good to pedal great as a posing machine.
