No ranch for Khama from Palapye residents :Mmegi is an English-language national newspaper in Botswana. Established in 1984, it is now published daily by Dikgang Publishing House in the capital, Gaborone. As of 2006, Mmegi is Botswana's only independent newspaper to be published daily.

Ends:PALAPYE: The village Local Organising Committee (LOC) that was tasked with preparing gifts for the outgoing President Ian Khama has denied allegations that Palapye community has donated a ranch to the First Citizen.
He explained that the fencing material that the community of Palapye bought for the President is worth P253, 981,65, and alongside they gave him gifts of four cows, four goats, two horses, three chickens and P30,000 cash.
The other gifts of an electric bicycle and a P25,000 cash came from Botswana Power Corporation and Botswana University of Science and Technology respectively.
