Hi. Can anyone who knows much about Worksman trikes guide me to a front fork that will fit AND has the capability of mounting brakes (no disk) to the front?
It's been so long that I've replaced forks on a bike that I know nothing about sizing, especially with old school bikes like Worksman.
The trike originally came with a front drum brake, and that's great, but with the hub motor in the front the drum had to go. Unfortunately, that means that I only have a coaster brake. Not good enough, and I can't seem to find anything on Worksman's site that mentions the kind of replacement fork I need, just the one with a tab for drum brakes.
If anyone can point me to something that fits I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Mike
NOTE: I'd really like to learn about a chain driven motor the the trike.
While I like hub motors, if I could drive the rear two wheels it would be ideal. Then I could put the wheel with the drum brake back on the front of the bike, giving it good stopping ability, and then I'd get more traction by driving the two rear wheels with a chain-driven motor. Ideally the chain-driven motor would be as inconspicuous as possible. I'd prefer it (the motor) to be mounted beneath and the batteries in the bed.
