Sold my old el bike and bought a nakamura big bob 4.0 that I'm gonna make electric but there is a problem.
Only found 32 hole rims for fat bike and my electric hub is for 36 holes. They say u can build that together but it's not wort the trouble. Was thinking drilling new holes so the hub fits 32 hole rim or do someone got a better idea :?:
Not sure how to calculate where the holes should be on each side so the lengt of the old spokes fits. Someone done this before here :)

The rim looks as if it has large openings where the inner tube shows through. You won't be able to redrill the rim for 36 holes very easily!

Was thinking to drill 32 new holes in the hub motor, going to the garage now to see if it can work

I don't know why you think there are no 36 hole wide rims. I bought one a few weeks ago.

Ofc there are 36 hole rims, but no 100mm or 80mm 36 hole 26 rim in Norway where I live. My goal was to get it done this weekend.
Need to wait like 3 weeks to get The rim :|
But I think I figured it out now

Classic cycles in germany have the rims you want.

Welding a new easy to remove battery mount. I can slide the battery on to the tube and lock ot in place. Takes maybe 20 sec to get it on/off.

I'm using it as my long distance battery (20ah 48v)
Got another in my framebag that I use in town and small trips (10ah 48v)

Camping at -30 ?? Hardcore!

What batteries are you using? You must have to insulate them well, the cold would affect them otherwise ?

Kudos
