I just received my order from BMS Battery of a S06S 250W Torque Simulation Sine Wave Controller. The label states "DC36/48V". Is this a typo or have they changed the controller?

I purchased this to match up with a Q100CST 32 hole 201Rpm motor which is going into a 29er wheel. My ideal setup would have been this motor and controller running at 12 or 13S. But the BMS website states that it is a 36V controller and after reading this forum I was under the impression these controllers would not handle 48V. I had already purchased a 10S Lipo pack as I really wanted the torque simulation feature.

I thought I would post this in case anyone was in the same boat as me.

Been there, done that.
Except for the controller. That is a new version.
With the older 36V version, it was hit or miss as to whether or not it would live on 12S.
I never could get the SO6S and the LCD-3 to work right on either 12S or 13S.
The controller just didn't like the odd Lipo Voltages.
But I have read here that at least one rider got the combo to work, so I suspose it's not impossible.

I run serveral S06p at 14S vor two years and 6000km without one Problem. The S06S I tried befor hat PASS Problems but it handled the 14S to.

It can change automatically between 48v and 36v. It sometimes gets mixed up if you connect a drained 48v battery, since the voltage could be the same as a charged 36v one, so it's best to make it absolutely clear by fully charging a 48v one. Another thing is the damping coefficient for the battery level display (parameter P5). I don't know if that has any affect further than the display, so It's probably a good idea to set that low until things have settled down.

how to run this controller on 72v?

You cant its limited to 60 volts max

It can be easily modded to run on higher voltages. Have a look at posts by snickers and fellow.
